Important Dates in November:

November 22 – Progress Reports go home

November 28 and 29 – Parent Teacher Interviews – no classes

At the end of November, our Term One progress reports will arrive home. We are looking forward to sharing what your child has learned thus far in Grade 6 with you, as well as letting you know how they can extend or deepen their learning! On November 22, the same day progress reports arrive home, you will be able to book a parent-teacher interview using the Conference Manager. If you need to register as a new user, or you need more information on how to use Conference Manager, please visit our school website at cssd.ab.ca/blessedjohn23, or contact us and we’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

Finally, if you’re looking for a quick and nutritious breakfast or snack idea, here’s a recipe for you to try from www.canadianfamily.ca!

Scrambled Egg “Cupcakes”

¼ cup chopped vegetables (spinach, corn, broccoli, red pepper, etc)

3 eggs

1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

¼ cup milk

¼ cup diced cooked ham, bacon or sausage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 12-cup mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray or brush well with oil. In a 2-cup glass measure, whisk together eggs, milk and cheese. Pour into muffin cups, dividing evenly. Sprinkle chopped vegetables on top. Bake 13 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes, then run a knife around edges and remove cupcakes from muffin cups. Store in a sealed container in refrigerator. These freeze very well and are easy to warm up in the microwave!

Please feel free to contact us at any time to discuss your child’s progress, any issues or concerns you have, or just to chat! The school telephone number is 403-500-2080, and we can be reached by email as well:
